CBGBs no big loss

Just talked to John Schoen last night at the 16 Bitch Pileup show about it. He said he played there twice and the only good thing is the sound system. Eric Burke of Sulaco told me the same thing. I've never been there in my life and never cared to. What's the big deal? It would've been better to go there in it's prime (70s and 80s). Now 'punk rock' is just a marketing image. Prick Losotto or whoever he is thinks he's an 'individualist' just because he has a mohawk. *yawn* What would he have done with CBGBs if it was saved? Turn it into a monument? "For all the true punks who fought against all the commie-pinko scum..."

Seriously, is ConservativePunk proud of a dive where hobos regularily loiter at? Of course their biggest ally Vincent Gallo models himself after those hobos no doubt. (Ha!)

I'm calling my next release Conservative Puke '77 in riposte to such hipster frauds who think they're so unique. Maybe they should have their own "Rock Against Communism" fest so they can march in formation in their little Boy Scouts uniforms and their middle fingers stuck in the air... And lots of Golden Anniversary ale.
